Despite the driving wind, both teams contributed to a good game of football with no bad tackles or incidents and no yellow card required on the day by Referee Tony Fahy. Everyone shook hands after a game that was played in good spirits by all.
There was a commanding Man-of-the-Match display from Emmett Hawkins who scored a hat-trick, with great performances from many players on the day. Special mention to Tadhg Fallon who turned up to show support although injured. A superb 40-yard free-kick from our Captain and leader Liam Shaughnessy, plus goals from Conor Tarpey and Miguel Medina. Morgan Waterhouse came close on a few occasions.
