U18 Boys Connacht Cup: Maree/Oranmore B 0-3 KUFC

Kinvara United's U18 Boys squad are through to the semi-finals of the Connacht Cup after an exciting match away to Maree Oranmore B on a beautiful St. Brigid's weekend. In the competition to date we've beaten Bebulben (away) 4-7, Tuam Celtic (home) 2-1 and, now, MOFC (away) 0-3

It was a tough, physically demanding match where every inch was fought for. Great credit goes to Maree/Oranmore and to match referee Kevin Ruane for the spirit in which the game was played.

Kinvara opened the scoring through a penalty dispatched by Róan Cassidy Ó Máirtín. Kinvara United were deserved winners but a crucial goal line save by Seán McGinley with the score at 0-1, immediately followed by a great goal by Donnacha Mullane, were critical to the result.

A strike by Diarmuid Crossan was too hot for the keeper to handle and sealed the win.

Thanks to the travelling support for their positive encouragement of the team. It was great to have the coaches of our U16s and 17s there today. It felt like the club was out in force - Kinvara United Abú!
