After an high scoring game, Kinvara lost to Athenry 7-3. Kinvara conceded a goal 2 mins in but got a penalty a few minutes later after Conor was fouled. Morgan stood up to take it and kicked it low but dragged it the wrong side of the post. From the kick out Athenry scored. Morgan won another penalty and this time Emmett took it and blasted it to the net. Just before half time, Emmett intercepted an Athenry misplaced pass at the edge of the box and squared it to Conor to score. 5-2 at half time.
The second half brought less goals with Daragh scoring the last goal of the game when he got on a thru ball; and while holding off two defenders slotted it inside the far post. Final score 7-3. Congrats to Athenry.
