Moyne Villa 2-0 Kinvara United - Friday 25th March 2022
Our Mens team travelled to Headford on Friday evening for a tough away fixture against Moyne Villa. It was Kinvara who started stronger in the first half creating multiple chances with wingers Harry Mulleady and Taidhg Geoghegan causing all kinds of problem on the flanks for Kinvara, and our lads were unfortunate to concede a penalty before half-time after a Moyne Villa player went through on goal and was judged to have been fouled by keeper Allen Moran.
Kinvara battled strongly in the second half and continuously pushed for an equaliser while remaining strong at the back with Niall Bermingham and Damien McNamara putting in a commanding performance at Centre-Half, and despite coming close on several occasions it was Moyne Villa who sealed the win in the final minutes of the game to win 2-0 on the night.
Positives to take but points badly needed with 5 games remaining - our next game is at home to Athenry B on Saturday 2nd April.
